Like Lister, the Cat is the last known sole survivor of his race. In his case he is the last felis sapien, a race humbly
descended from the offspring of Lister's pet cat, Frankenstein. As such, the Cat possesses many of felis sapien's
most treasured characteristics, being superficial, selfish, self- centred and shallow.
The Cat ended up alone, the offspring of two cats unfit to travel the universe in the religious quest to find the heaven of Lister, or Cloister the stupid. The Cat himself, however, does not value religion, preferring to be cool rather than slobby, against a religion which believes 'it is a sin to be cool'. |
